Joseph M. Blandford, Jr.

Dr. Joseph M. Blandford, Jr. was born and grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. He graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor’s of Science degree, and then attended University of Louisville School of Medicine and graduated in 1974. He served his surgical internship and residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. He finished in 1979, moved back to Louisville and has been practicing here in Louisville since then.

Joel Garmon

Dr. Joel Garmon has been in practice with Louisville Surgical Associates for over 20 years. A native of Louisville, he attended Indiana University, Bloomington graduating as a member of Phi Beta Kappa in 1981. He returned home to attend the University of Louisville School of Medicine graduating with honors and AOA.

Vincent C. Lusco III

Dr Vincent Lusco III graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and completed medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1998. He landed in Kentucky, completing his surgical residency at the University of Louisville where he received extensive training in advanced laparoscopy and bariatric procedures, including assisting Dr. Jeff Allen with the placement of the first laparoscopic adjustable gastric band in Kentucky, in May of 2001.

John Olsofka

Dr. Olsofka is a native of Kentucky and did his general surgery training at the University of Louisville. He is a fellow with the American College of Surgeons and Clinical Instructor with the University of Louisville. He has been with the practice since 1999 and with clinical and research focus in advanced laparoscopy.

Robert Stewart

Dr. Robert Stewart graduated from the University of Louisville Medical School, and completed his training at both Good Samaritan Hospital of the Catholic Health System and Emory University in Atlanta. He has practiced General Surgery and Gastrointestinal Endoscopy in Louisville since 1992.

Chris Theuer

Dr. Chris Theuer has lived in Kentucky for nearly 40 years. He completed his undergraduate training at Centre College where he graduated with honors, then went on to medical school at the University of Kentucky where he was a member of the AOA honor medical society. He completed his General Surgery training at the University of Louisville in 1994 where he received the J. David Richardson Award as well as the Price Award.
